Western Round-up
A Wild, Wacky Western Round-up was the theme for family fun day at The Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert in Rancho Mirage November 24. The event was sponsored by the museum and the City of Indian Wells.










Cooking demo
Le St. Germain restaurant in Indian Wells offers a cooking demonstration and luncheon the third Wednesday of every month. Kitchen Kitchen partnered with the restaurant to sponsor a demonstration by Deborah Fabricant, author and creator of "Stacks, the Art of Vertical Cooking," November 20.





Desert Adventures
Desert Adventures offers various Jeep tours focusing on the geology and history of the Coachella Valley. Guide Morgan Levine entertained several passengers during a tour of the Indio Hills area on the San Andreas Fault November 22.






Cops, Kids and Firefighters
The Police Activities League and Boys and Girls Club of Desert Hot Springs sponsored the sixth annual Cops, Kids and Firefighters Day in Wardman Park November 23. The event featured local police and fire agencies, a car show and youth talent show.










Go Cold Turkey
The Comprehensive Cancer Center at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs held a luncheon and seminars in conjunction with the American Cancer Society's Great American Smokeout November 21.



Swim meet
The Piranha Swim Team hosted the Agua Caliente Invitational at Palm Springs Swim Center November 23-24. Twenty six teams from Southern California competed in the event.








Birthday triathlon

Ironman athlete Bill Bell celebrated his 80th birthday by holding a triathlon November 24. Participants swam 80 lengths of the College of the Desert pool, rode their bikes 80 kilometers and ran 8 laps around the COD Football field. The athletes celebrated the finish with a birthday party at Beachside Café in La Quinta.
