Basketball camp
Young athletes 5-14 years old participated in the Coachella Valley Recreation and Park District's youth basketball camp at the Palm Desert Community Center January 2-4.

Fantasy Springs Casino and Fantasy Springs Lanes celebrated New Year's Eve with celebrity impersonators, original entertainment that included Bill Haley's Original Comets, and the boys in the band of "The Ghosts of Radio."

Heritage Palms Country Club in Indio brought in the New Year with a medieval feast that included fortune tellers, face painting, masseurs and a full Renaissance court and music.
