Basket making
The Agua Caliente Cultural Museum and Palm Springs Library team up to offer Kids Explore programs for children 8-12 years old every Wednesday at the library through July 23. O'Jay Vanegas, education director of the museum, taught students how to make traditional reed baskets during the program July 2.


Camp Desert Star Camp Desert Star, sponsored by the Jewish Community Center of the Desert, offers music, art, games, sports and Jewish cultural activities for children in the first through sixth grades at the Palm Springs Youth Center through July 25.

Karaoke for Kidz Kids can show off their singing skills every Tuesday throughout the summer during Karaoke for Kidz hosted by Dynamic Dave at Bananaz Grill and Bar in Palm Desert.


Air Museum activities Visitors can learn about aeronautics from former Air Force pilot Richard Goins at a hands-on exhibit set up in the Palm Springs Air Museum Tuesdays and Thursdays. Kids 5-12 years old also made Happy Birthday America cards for an art contest as part of Kool Kids Month activities.
