THE CBS 2 / FIESTA FORD CHARITY CHALLENGE 2
Charity Challenge was originally created as a way for a local car dealer to give away a new Van to a worthy and deserving person and/or company. To do this CBS 2 created the Charity Challenge. The mission became clear right away. Call attention to as many local charities as possible while getting their people involved in friendly competition events that would also allow the charities to earn cash donation prizes for their efforts.

This year 78 local charities are participating in the CBS 2 Charity Challenge. So far 17 different charities have earned some prize money and all 78 charities have the chance to win the 2004 Ford Freestar Van valued at $27,000.

Charity Challenge Golf Tournament was a fundraiser, not an actual competition. It was held on April 22nd at Landmark Golf Club. Over 80 golfers participated. We increased the cash money that could be earned by the charities to where there was a prize pool of $22,400. The golf tournament allowed us a way to keep the focus on Charity Challenge and raise money for the whole program.
