The American Red Cross Riverside County Chapter hosted it fourth annual Taste of Italia at the Doral Resort in Cathedral City Wednesday, April 21, with proceeds going to the American Red Cross Riverside County Chapter's Youth Service Program.

La Quinta Birthday
The city of La Quinta celebrated its twenty-second birthday at the annual "Community Picnic and Birthday Celebration" on Saturday, April 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fritz Burns Park in La Quinta.

Duck Pluck
The Discovery Duck Pluck presented by the Rancho Mirage Rotary to support the Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert. Rubber ducks were adopted for $5 then thousands of rubber ducks were put into The River in Rancho Mirage where one lucky duck was plucked and the winner received a 2004 Honda Element from Toyota Honda Mazda Acura of the Desert.

Tina Kahan Memorial Tennis Tournament
The Tina Kahan memorial pro-am tennis tournament was held at the La Quinta Resort and Club Sunday, April 25, at noon with all proceeds going to the Hanson House Foundation.
