Desert Bicycle Club
Members of the Desert Bicycle Club took off from the Palm Desert Civic Center Park for their Saturday morning ride dressed in red, white and blue to show support for American troops in Iraq May 3. The club consists of over 150 members of all skill levels who ride together three times a week.











"Dracula"
Students at Palm Valley School in Rancho Mirage presented "Dracula" May 1-3.












Duck Pluck
The Rancho Mirage Rotary presented the 2nd Annual Discovery Duck Pluck to benefit the Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert at The River in Rancho Mirage April 27. Adopters of lucky ducks won hundreds of prizes including the grand prize, a Honda Insight donated by Unicars Honda of Indio.











Demonstration Gardens
Officials from the Desert Water Agency and Palm Springs Desert Museum dedicated the Demonstration Gardens at the museum May 2. The gardens are planted with native and relevant exotic water-conserving plants that give visitors ideas for use in their own landscaping.











Indio chamber mixer
Martha's Village and Kitchen hosted the monthly Business After-hours Mixer for the Indio Chamber of Commerce April 29.











Concert Under the Stars
The City of La Quinta's Cultural Arts Commission hosted a Concert Under the Stars at the Civic Center Campus April 25. The free event also featured samples from participating restaurants at a Taste of La Quinta and work by La Quinta artists.












Young dancers
Students in the preschool and kindergarten dance program at Palm Desert Community Presbyterian Church performed April 11.






Rally for a Cure Over 140 female golfers raised money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation at the Rally for a Cure tournament hosted by the Oasis Country Club women's golf club in Palm Desert May 1.










National Scrapbook Day
Creative Memories sponsored a full day of activities for the 9th Annual National Scrapbook Day at the Residence Inn in Palm Desert May 3. Participants worked on their photo albums, attended breakout sessions to learn new techniques and viewed albums on display.
