Elementary school pupils from throughout the Coachella Valley attended the annual Children's Concert at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert presented by Maestro Ben Benachowski and the Indian Wells Symphony. Entertainer Jack Jones narrated "Tubby The Tuba."
Rally for a Cure
The Oasis Country Club Women's Golf Club hosted Rally for a Cure Golf Tournament to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund at the Oasis Country Club, Thursday, April 29.
Student Government Day
May 6, 2004, was the first annual Student Government Day in Indian Wells. Sixteen youngsters from Gerald R. Ford Elementary School had the chance to see local government in action with a tour of the city's facilities and the chance to attend a City Council meeting.
