Athletes in the American Youth Soccer Organization Region 80 play in Demuth Park in Palm Springs every Saturday through December 14.











Book sale
Friends of the College of the Desert Library held the third annual mini-book sale at the college November 15. The sale featured cookbooks and refreshments provided by Professor Steve Beno and his culinary students.







Craft fair
California Handcrafters presented the Holiday Crafts Festival, sponsored by the Palm Springs Department of Parks, at Sunrise Pavilion in Palm Springs November 16 and 17.





Desert Springers
Desert Springers gymnasts, 3-18 years old, practice at the Indio Community Center four days a week and compete in the USA Junior Olympic Program.









Everything Under the Sun
Everything Under the Sun featured silent and live auctions and a holiday gift boutique to benefit local charities at Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage November 16. RM Marketing, LLC produced the event sponsored by Agua Caliente Casino, The Desert Sun, KMIR TV-6, R&R Radio Corporation and Westfield Shoppingtown Palm Desert.






Doll signing
Fitness guru Richard Simmons promoted his line of dolls, Collection of the Masters, at Dollsville Dolls and Bearsville Bears in Palm Springs November 16.







Santa's Workshop
Discounted merchandise from Eisenhower Medical Center's gift shops and donated baked goods were sold at Santa's Workshop and Bake Sale in the hospital lobby November 14 and 15. Money raised will benefit various Eisenhower projects.





Watercolor Society
Bruce Thomas demonstrated some of his painting techniques for the Coachella Valley Watercolor Society at the November 14 meeting in the Palm Desert Country Club Association clubhouse. The 180 members meet monthly and present group shows.
